Crown Point Boot Camp: Best Body Challenge

Inspiration Fitness is on a mission to change the shape of Crown Point. The Best Body Challenge could help hundreds of local residents transform their bodies in 6 weeks, free of charge.

There’s no cost to participate in the challenge all we ask is that each person make a small, one-time $10 donation to St. Jude House. That’s it.

The Best Body Challenge can be likened to the fitness and weight loss contest phenomenon started by the hit TV show, The Biggest Loser. The show really focused the nation’s attention on the benefits of participating in a contest, guided by certified personal trainers, in terms of the motivation and accountability necessary for success. It’s difficult to lose weight on your own. Anyone who’s tried and struggled knows that – and unfortunately, that’s the majority

At www.CrownPointBestBodyChallenge.com, you can find the details of the challenge and provides a complete guide that can be downloaded instantly, containing instructions, questions and answers, rules and regulations, prizes awarded to winners and even a complete 6-week exercise and nutrition program.

For those that need a little more instruction and encouragement, there is a separate group called “Kick It” that will meet Saturday mornings at 8am at Inspiration Fitness. There is a small fee of $47 to participate in this group. Space will be limited.

Many local businesses have agreed to sponsor the challenge by helping spread the word and provide many of the prizes awarded to the Your Best Body Grand Champion and two runners up. “It’s definitely a town effort,” says Ramos “we couldn’t do this without a lot of help. We’re all very grateful for the way this challenge is being received and look forward to helping a lot of folks lose the weight and get into great shape.”

Avoid This Common Diet Mistake from Crown Point Personal Trainers

You hear it all the time …

“To eat healthy, you need to stay away from fat.”

This couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, if you want to lose weight, keep it off, and look great year-round, you’ve got to eat fat. The truth is your body NEEDS fat to survive (About 66% of your brain is made up of fat!).

But there is a catch –

You can’t just eat any kind of fat. You’ve got to eat more healthy fats. See, there are “good” fats and “bad” fats.
Bad fats make you sick. Good fats heal your body, protect your heart, reduce inflammation and boost your metabolism.

So what foods contain good fats?

Mainly, it’s any food that’s rich in omega-3 fatty acids and oleic acid.

Here are a few you can start putting into your diet today:

Almonds — great to snack on and good source of omega 3.

Avocados — high in heart-healthy oleic acid.

Egg yolks — despite what you’ve heard, eggs (including the yolk) are good for you! They’re rich in omega-3′s, contain the full spectrum of amino acids, and have plenty of vitamins your body needs.

Grass-fed beef – Beef that’s been grass-fed is very high on omega 3 fats, which are incredibly good for you.

Fish — make sure it’s wild-caught, to avoid mercury contamination, among other things. Wild-caught salmon is a great choice.

Walnuts — another great choice for snacking.

In addition to these, use healthy oils as salad dressings whenever possible. Good choices include extra virgin olive oil and Sacha Inchi oil.

So there you go. You have permission to eat more fat. But make sure it’s the good stuff.

And as with everything, don’t over do it. Even though good fats are healthy, they’re still high in calories. Aim for 50 – 80 grams of good fat per day, depending on your calorie requirements.

Good nutrition accounts for 80% of your fat loss success. The other 20% is knowing how to workout properly and effectively for your body type.

That’s why if you haven’t already, I highly recommend you take advantage of your FREE Fitness Consultation (normally $87).

During this consultation, you’ll receive detailed nutrition and workout advice that’s specific to YOUR body and metabolism.

What’s more, you’ll get actionable tips you can use right away to put you on the path to a healthy, slim and fit YOU!

Get Stronger and More Flexible With These Moves from Crown Point’s Personal Trainer

Did you know there’s one simple activity most people rarely do after their workouts?

S-T-R-E-T-C-H-I-N-G!

Stretching is super-important. It prevents your muscles from getting “tight” and “stiff” — especially after you’ve been working them out, rep after rep.

Plus, there’s the benefits you get, like improved circulation and reduced stress (you DO know that stressing out causes you to tense your muscles without even realizing it, right?)

That’s why today I’m going to share with you 4 simple moves (taken from Yoga) that practically anyone can do.

Doing these moves will not only stretch your muscles, but it’ll also tone them. As a result you’ll be more flexible, look leaner and feel a heck of a lot calmer! [Read more...]

Are You Doing This For a Healthy Heart?

You already know that exercise and eating right are two VERY important things you’ve got to do to give your heart some lovin’.

But there’s something else you should be doing that you probably don’t know about. Let me explain…

There’s a “silent threat” to your heart’s health that goes unnoticed by most people.

It’s surprising, but you really don’t hear too much about this in the mainstream media (I’m not sure why).

What’s more, numerous studies link high levels of this one thing to a much greater chance of heart attack — even if you’re already eating right AND exercising.

I’m talking about homocysteine. [Read more...]

Did You Forget Something? Alzheimer’s

How to Remember Where You Left Your Car Keys… Even If You’re 90!

Memory loss is all-too often associated with old age.

And unfortunately, with good reason.

As most people get older, they become more forgetful. And in serious cases, they can develop dementia and Alzheimer’s (scary stuff, to be sure).

The good news is there are plenty of things you can do to prevent severe memory loss — and in the process develop lots of “Brain” power that will keep your memory razor-sharp, well into your “Golden Years.” [Read more...]

Crown Point Personal Trainers Offer A one-two Punch for Your Physique

If you want to go flab to fab, try this technique on for size…

It’s called supersets (and in a moment, you’ll see why they’re so super!)

Simply put, a super set is when you do two exercises back-to-back, without resting in between.

Here’s a quick example: Let’s say you do a set of bench presses. As soon as you’re done, you’d follow it up immediately with a set of lat pulldowns.

After you’re done with that back exercise, then you can rest. (And believe me, you’ll want to…).

Then, you repeat the process again.

Working out this way burns TONS of calories. Mainly because of the intensity — you’re not resting in between sets.

Supersets also stimulate the production of Growth Hormone (GH) in your body. In case you don’t know, GH is the “holy grail” of hormones. It helps you both burn fat and build muscle.

Think of supersets as a one-two punch that works your muscles, your heart AND lungs (think cardio).

Here’s a sample superset workout you can start using right away. [Read more...]
